Colin Paterson – General Manager
Bringing more than 20 years of diversified construction experience to JCS, Colin is well versed in all aspects of project execution, from estimating and scheduling to final close out. He is experienced in a broad range of areas including heavy civil construction, commercial construction and industrial construction. Colin has had a hand in many high-profile projects both locally and across the state, most notably the Space X Landing Pad, Stanton Energy Center Decant Cell, Amtrak passenger platform, Florida Rock Cement Plant, Jacksonville Automated Skyway guiderail, Progress Energy Plant, Rollins College, and several sections of Interstate 4 and State Road 429. At JCS, Colin is tasked with developing and managing all aspects of the company’s operations and growth. He is dedicated to the success of his team and his clients. His goal is to equip his team with the support they need to make every client’s project successful by encouraging safety and training for employees, determining proper job placement for each team member’s skill set cultivating a positive and encouraging work culture and setting high standards of quality and consistency. In addition to marketing duties and ensuring JCS performs up to his clients’ standards, Colin also places emphasis on gaining his clients’ trust by fulfilling promises and always being available to them throughout the process.
Earl “Honk” Visger – General Superintendent
Throughout his 40-year career, Honk, as he is known to his friends and colleagues, has worked for large companies, owned his own business, and traveled to exotic locales working on major projects like the Elaine Zoo outside of Abu Dhabi and the Baha Mar hotel in Nassau, Bahamas. Locally, he managed a number projects at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Epcot, MGM Studios, Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure. With experience in structural and architectural design, forms, footing, high rises, tilt wall panels, concrete finishes, resort swimming pools, and hardscapes, Honk has a vast knowledge of, and a love for, the concrete industry. He has a passion for epitomizing the values that JCS stands for: teamwork, quality and professionalism. He takes pride in being a motivating force for his team, developing in them the same values and work ethic that he is proud to have, all while emphasizing safety on the job site. To Honk, the most important thing is to be able to stand back at the end of the day and know that he made his clients happy.
